Dr Subburaj Selvaraj
MBBS, MRCGP(UK), FRACGP
Dr Raj is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is passionate about individual patient care and practicing evidence-based medicine. He enjoys all areas of primary care medicine.
Having graduated from Dr MGR Medical University, India in 2000, he moved to United Kingdom in 2001. As part his further training, he has worked in various specialities including Care of elderly, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Accident and Emergency and Palliative care.
Bringing significant experience & knowledge from the Indian & UK health care systems, Dr Raj moved to Brisbane and joined the team at Albert Street Medical in 2011.
When he is not at work, he enjoys cricket and spending time with his family.
Dr Beata Filipowicz
MRCGP(UK), FRACGP, MRCP
Dr Beata Filipowicz is an experienced General Practitioner with a keen interest in all aspects of General Practice.. She enjoys the many challengers of General Practice and assisting patients to improve their over all health and general well being.
She is a strong advocate of preventative health and team based co-ordinated care, and is very keen to work with patients and allied health professionals at Albert Street to provide comprehensive health care to improve patient health outcomes.
Dr Alpesh Borad

Dr Alpesh enjoys all areas of general practice including preventative health, minor surgeries, Iron infusion, implanon removal & insertion skin cancer, men's health, sexual health, antenatal care, paediatrics, immunisations, chronic disease management, work cover, pre employment medical, driving assessment and travel medicine. He has a special interest in dealing with all aspects of eye related problems. He is multi lingual and able to communicate in English ,Gujarati and Hindi.
Dr Arun Bojarajan

Dr Arun is an experienced General Practitioner with special interest in skin cancer medicine. His extensive experience, diverse skill set, and unwavering commitment to patient care blends him into a very reliable Skin Doctor. With a background in primary healthcare, his main focus is on prevention of skin cancers, early diagnosis and management of skin cancers in curable stages. He believes in detailed, meticulous Skin Checks and offers surgical treatments for Skin Cancers. He regularly attends workshops and conferences to update his skin cancer knowledge. When he is not working, He likes to spend time with his family and 2 dogs [ Lab & GSD ] .
Dr Aileen M Pidgeon
Clinical Psychologist
Aileen is a board-registered clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience helping people improve their mental health and well-being. Aileen works with women across the lifespan who are experiencing a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-worth, grief, and trauma-related symptoms.
Aileen helps women heal from experiences of stress and trauma relating to loss, grief, past childhood trauma, domestic violence, separation and divorce, medical procedures, and bullying. Her approach to therapy is a trauma-informed, non-judgmental, approach which focuses on increasing her patient’s control over their life and their mental health problems, increase their sense of worth, improve their quality of life and assist them to achieve their dreams, aspirations and goals.
Aileen’s therapy approach offers several benefits central to healing and recovery including learning skills on how to cope with anxiety, low moods, keep your mind and body calm in stressful triggering situations and improve sleep quality and manage insomnia.
Aileen completed her Doctorate of Philosophy in the area of clinical psychology with a Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Qld in Brisbane. Over the course of her career, Aileen has worked in health and community psychology settings including her own private practice and as an A/Professor of Psychology at Bond University.
Aileen uses a trauma-informed care approach to therapy which integrates a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy, Somatic and Mindfulness Based Therapies, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Aileen bulk bills all clients and provides telehealth and telephone psychological services. For services to be bulk billed, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your regular doctor.
Lisa Adams
Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Diabetes Educator
Lisa has a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) from UNSW and a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University with Honours and a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes from Curtin University. She founded Apple-A-Day Dietetics in 2009 with the aim of making quality nutritional advice as accessible as possible.
She has experience working in public hospitals, nursing homes and private practice. Her specialty areas are weight loss, chronic disease management (including diabetes, cardiovascular, renal and pulmonary disease) and healthy ageing. She is passionate about healthy eating and nutrition, and is able to provide dietary advice in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Her passion for dietetics lies in community, disability and aged care, nutrition for the elderly and chronic disease management. She has completed additional training in paediatric nutrition and bariatric nutrition and is nearly finished her diabetes educator qualification. She believes that there is no single perfect diet. but tailors nutritional advice to suit the individual.
Lisa is a busy mum with two small children, so understands how difficult it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle while juggling other commitments. She enjoys going to the beach, seeing live bands, cooking and building lego. She used to enjoy going to the gym, sleeping in and reading..
